No School For All Students on Monday, October 14 There is no school for all students on Monday, October 14, due to the Thanksgiving Day statutory holiday.
Ranchlands Parent Council Family Halloween Dance - Thursday, October 24 from 6:30pm - 8pm We will be celebrating Halloween and having our dress-up day on October 24th to align with our Halloween dance and to not conflict with our swimming lessons happening on Oct 31st. Admission is $1 per person or a food bank donation, which will be donated to the Ranchlands Community Centre Food Pantry.
No School For All Students on Friday, October 25 This is a Professional Development Day, and there is no school for all students.
Swimming Lessons For Grades 3-6 - Oct 28, 29, 30 & 31 Swimming lessons for Grades 3 to 6 will happen each day from Oct 28 to Oct 31. Swimming lessons for Kindergarten to Grade 2 will happen March 10 through 13, 2025. For our Grades 3 to 6 students, please send your permission forms back to school as soon as possible. Payments are to be made through your MyCBE account. Please ask for assistance at the office if you do not have your account set up.

Healthy Hunger Fun Lunches & Snack Days
We would like to thank the Ranchlands Parent Council for organizing and running the monthly fun lunches and snack days through Healthy Hunger. If you would like your child to participate, the first step is to create an account at www.healthyhunger.ca. Healthy Hunger Instructions
Healthy Hunger Fun Lunch (Subway) – Wednesday, October 16
This is the first fun lunch of the year and will be provided by Subway! Deadline for orders is October 11. Subway Fun Lunch Flyer
Healthy Hunger Treat Day (Kernels) – Wednesday, October 23 The first treat provider of the year will be Kernels popcorn. Deadline for orders is October 18.
Reminders
Lunch Supervision Fee
This is a reminder that all students in Grades 1 – 6 who eat their lunch at school are charged a Lunch Supervision Fee of $305 annually ($30.50 monthly). Please ensure that you register your child for this service by logging in to your MyCBE account and clicking on the Fees, Waivers, and Service Registration (green) tile. Income tax receipts are issued for Lunch Supervision Fees that may be included as child care expenses for income tax purposes.
Safe Driving and Parking
As the weather gets colder please remember to follow traffic laws and drive safely around the school, paying special attention to the cross walk zone. Please park by the school field, not in front of the school during peak times in the morning and after school. This is a bus and disabled parking zone. Parking and student drop offs are NOT allowed in the staff parking lot at any time.
