Announcements
Indigenous Tipi at Ranchlands
We are honored to welcome a traditional tipi to Ranchlands, guided by Garrett Smith, a proud member of the Kainai and Piikani Nations. This tipi raising is grounded in Blackfoot teachings that have been respectfully passed down through generations of Elders.
It is important to recognize that many Nations across Turtle Island have their own distinct types of lodges, construction methods, and cultural teachings. The tipi being raised at our school reflects Blackfoot traditions and knowledge.
We also acknowledge that there are many different ways to construct a tipi, depending on the Nation. These differences may include the number of poles used, as well as the specific processes and protocols followed. Each method carries deep cultural meaning, and each person shares teachings passed on by their Elders.
As a school community, we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from Garrett and to honor the stories, knowledge, and traditions being shared with us.
IMPORTANT! Transportation Registration for the 2026-2027 School Year
Yellow school bus service levels and proposed fees for the 2026-2027 school year have now been posted. The cost will be $500/student or $250 for kindergarten students.
What you need to know:
∙ Registration is available by logging into your MyCBE parent account and clicking on the Fees, Waivers and Service Registration tile.
∙ Families must register by Sunday, June 14, 2026 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.
∙ Transportation will continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume.
We encourage all families to register by the deadline if they think they will use yellow school bus transportation this fall. You can cancel before the end of September with no financial penalty. More Information: Register Now for Yellow School Bus Service
Medication Stored in the School Office
If you have provided us with medication for your child, please drop by the office anytime between now and Friday, June 26, to pick it up. We are unable to send medication home with your child, no matter what their age/grade. Any medication not picked up by June 26 can be picked up in late August or September when the school office reopens.
Lost & Found Items
Please be sure to ask your child to check the lost and found for any missing items by Tuesday, June 23. Parents may drop by after school to have a look as well. Any items remaining will be donated.
