Announcements

Calgary Flames Classroom Crew

This group is bringing trained instructors into our school to lead fun, safe, and inclusive flag football sessions from Monday, May 4 to Thursday, May 7. The program promotes physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and inclusivity, while providing schools with sport equipment. We are incredibly thankful that the Calgary Flames Foundation and its partners help cover the program's costs, allowing our students to participate in this high-quality sports experience without financial burden

Ranchlands School Movie Night

School Council is organizing a family movie night on April 23. Doors open at 6:15pm, movie starts at 6:30pm. Due to Universal Pictures removing The Super Mario Bros. Movie from their approved screening list, we are unfortunately no longer able to show this movie. Instead, we will be showing Zootopia 2, which is rated PG. Feel free to bring a folding chair for your comfort. Gym mats will also be available for use. Admission is free but any cash donations will go directly to School Council to fund events for our students. See the flyer for listed concession items. If you would like to volunteer for this event, please click here.

Outstanding School Fees

The 2025-26 school year fees are now due! To prevent your account from going into arrears and being sent out for collection, please login to your MyCBE parent account to review your child's outstanding school fees and make a payment. Alternatively, please visit the school to make a payment with your debit or credit card. Please note that cash and cheques are no longer accepted. More information about the CBE School Fees can be located here.

Are You Concerned That You Cannot Afford to Pay School Fees? Apply for a Central Fee Waiver!

No child is ever denied access to an education at the Calgary Board of Education due to their family’s inability to pay. The CBE offers a Central Fee Waiver which is based upon income level and covers the following centrals fees: Yellow School Bus Transportation, Lunch Supervision Service Fee and Student Supplies Fee. Please log in to your MyCBE parent account to complete the 2025-26 Central Fee Waiver Application. More information about the Central Fee Waiver can be located here.

My 1st Ride Registration is Open

On May 23 & 24, the CBE and its partners are offering the My 1st Ride bus orientation program. This free event is designed to familiarize students with the experience of taking the yellow bus to and from school. The orientation is aimed at first-time riders and students with special transportation needs. For more information and for registration click here.

Project Kampfire (formerly Kamp Kiwanis) is now taking applications for a FREE 8 day summer camp for students in grades 4, 5 and 6. Project Kampfire is running summer camp at Camp Connect on the North Side of Sibbald Lake just off of Highway 68. The camp is situated on approximately 64 acres in Kananaskis Country. The first seven families to reach out will be sent a camp form. If you do not receive a form please feel free to go to https://projectkampfire.com/ and fill out a general application. Unfortunately dates for camp will not be confirmed until all nominations are received by Project Kampfire.
