Ranchlands Bike to School Day – Thursday, May 16
On May 16, Students are invited to participate in Ranchlands Bike to School Day. Bike-related activities will begin before school at 8:50 and continue until 9:20 am. Teachers will supervise and run stations such as a bike race track, the slowest race, an obstacle course, a tune-up shop (pumping tires, adjusting seat height, and lubricating bike chain) and a bike safety photo booth. Helmets are required for all students riding bikes. Bikes can be stored inside the gym on Bike to School Day so that we do not run out of space at our bike racks, and students who do not have a proper bike lock can safely bring their bikes. We hope to see you there! *Please note that this day is specifically to celebrate biking to school. Kindly leave skateboards, scooters, etc. at home on Bike to School Day*
7 Sacred Teachings
The 7 sacred teaching for the month of May is Wisdom. The animal that represents this teaching is the beaver. Wisdom is the ability to make decisions based on knowledge and experience.
Spring Weather - Be Prepared!
Calgary's weather can be unpredictable during the spring. Please ensure you come to school with a light jacket or extra sweater. We will continue to go outside each day for recess, even if we're experiencing spring showers. We do not go outside during heavy downpours of rain.
As always, please call the office at 403-777-6350 ext 0 if you have any questions or concerns.
Have a wonderful weekend!
