Announcements
Farewell and Safe Travels, Andres!
During the past two weeks, Ranchlands School had the pleasure of hosting Andres as part of an international administrator exchange.
Watching Andres connect with our students and staff has been a true highlight. This exchange was more than just a visit; it was an opportunity to open our doors to the world, share our Ranchlands spirit, and learn how much we have in common with our global neighbors.
Through this program, our students gained fresh international perspectives while our leadership team shared best practices to enhance our school community.
We are so grateful for the time Andres spent with us. Safe travels, Andres—you’ll always be part of the Ranchlands family!
Calgary Flames Classroom Crew
This group is bringing trained instructors into our school to lead fun, safe, and inclusive flag football sessions from Monday, May 4 to Thursday, May 7. The program promotes physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and inclusivity, while providing schools with sport equipment. We look forward to hosting this program at our school.
Ranchlands School Movie Night
School Council is organizing a family movie night on April 23. Doors open at 6:15pm, movie starts at 6:30pm. After a school-wide vote, we are excited to announce that our upcoming movie night will feature The Super Mario Bros. Movie! (2023 version). This is rated as PG. Feel free to bring a folding chair for your comfort. Gym mats will also be available for use. Admission is free but any cash donations will go directly to School Council to fund events for our students. See the flyer for listed concession items. If you would like to volunteer for this event, please click here.
Outstanding School Fees
The 2025-26 school year fees are now due! To prevent your account from going into arrears and being sent out for collection, please login to your MyCBE parent account to review your child's outstanding school fees and make a payment. Alternatively, please visit the school to make a payment with your debit or credit card. Please note that cash and cheques are no longer accepted. More information about the CBE School Fees can be located here.
Are You Concerned That You Cannot Afford to Pay School Fees? Apply for a Central Fee Waiver!
No child is ever denied access to an education at the Calgary Board of Education due to their family’s inability to pay. The CBE offers a Central Fee Waiver which is based upon income level and covers the following centrals fees: Yellow School Bus Transportation, Lunch Supervision Service Fee and Student Supplies Fee. Please log in to your MyCBE parent account to complete the 2025-26 Central Fee Waiver Application. More information about the Central Fee Waiver can be located here.
My 1st Ride Registration is Open
On May 23 & 24, the CBE and its partners are offering the My 1st Ride bus orientation program. This free event is designed to familiarize students with the experience of taking the yellow bus to and from school. The orientation is aimed at first-time riders and students with special transportation needs. For more information and for registration click here.
