Announcements
Parent-Teacher Conferences - March 19 & 20
Conferences will take place on March 19 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm and on March 20 from 8:30am to 1pm. Parents have the option of attending an in-person or online parent-teacher conference. The booking system is now open.
Scholastic Book Fair
During the week of March 16-20, students will be invited to enjoy the book fair. This is an opportunity for students to buy books and small items to enjoy, with the proceeds going directly to help our school buy new resources. Last year the money went to helping our school buy new copies of some well-worn books and nonfiction books since they were desperately needed. Students will have a chance to preview the book fair and a second chance with which to buy something. Even a few dollars can get students something. The book fair will also be open during parent teacher interviews so please pop by!
Lost and Found Items
Teachers have been walking their classes past our lost and found items over the last couple of weeks. We also encourage parents to have a look through the items if they are at the school for parent teacher conferences. Anything unclaimed after March 20 will be donated.
Celebrating a Global Learning Adventure!
We are excited to share some wonderful news.
Through Alberta’s Educator Exchange Programs (EEP), teachers can step into classrooms around the world to learn, grow, and bring back new ideas for our students. This year, Mr. Wigglesworth has been selected for this special opportunity!
Over spring break, Mr. Wigglesworth will be travelling to Aranda De Duero, Spain, where he’ll spend time learning, teaching, and sharing ideas with his exchange partner, Mr. Gonzalez. This is an amazing chance for him to experience another school community and bring fresh perspectives back to Ranchlands.
But the adventure doesn’t end there—
In April, we will proudly welcome Mr. Gonzalez to Ranchlands School!
He’ll be joining our classrooms, meeting our students, and experiencing what makes Canadian schools so unique.
We’re thrilled to celebrate this exciting exchange and the rich learning it brings to our whole school community. Congratulations, Mr. Wigglesworth and welcome soon, Mr. Gonzalez!
