Black History Month 2025: Explore, Learn, and Reflect with Curio

February is Black History Month, which is a time to learn, reflect, and celebrate the contributions of Black Canadians. This year’s theme for 2025 is "Black Legacy and Leadership: Celebrating Canadian History and Uplifting Future Generations."

CBC Curio offers a rich collection of videos and documentaries from student-led explorations of Black history to thought-provoking discussions on identity and culture. These resources can spark courageous conversations. Did you know? All CBE students have full access to Curio. Explore the collection for Black History in Canada! Link: Black History in Canada on Curio

We invite you to learn more about significant events in Black history in Canada, understand how they have shaped Black communities, and recognize the impact that they have had on all areas of society.

As always, please call the office at 403-777-6350 ext 0 if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a wonderful weekend!
