Important Dates

This is a Professional Development Day, and there is no school for all students.

Ranchlands School Council In-Person & Virtual Meeting - Tuesday, November 21, at 6:45pm

All parent(s)/guardian(s) of students attending Ranchlands School are welcome to attend! Please join us in the Ranchlands School library or online. Link will be shared closer to the date.

Healthy Hunger Fun Lunch – Wednesday, November 22

This month's fun lunch will be provided by OPA! Orders must be placed no later than Friday, November 17. www.healthyhunger.ca

Parent-Teacher Conferences - November 23 & 24

Parents will have the option of attending an in-person or online parent-teacher conference. Conferences will take place on November 23 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm and on November 24 from 8:30am to 1pm. The School Conference Booking system will be open for parents to book a 15 minute one-on-one time slot beginning November 13 at 8am. Please access the booking system via your MyCBE account. There is no school for all students on November 24 due to parent-teacher conferences.

Pulse Dance Residency for ALL Students - November 27 - December 7

Mark your calendars for a culminating celebration performance on the evening of December 7! Thank you to School Council for covering the cost of this exciting opportunity.

November 15 & 16 - Ranchlands School Council Casino

Thank you to everyone who has signed up! We do still have some backup/emergency positions to be filled, if you are available on short notice. Ranchlands School Casino Fundraiser

• All shifts will be at Ace Casino Airport Location Calgary (40 Aero Crescent NE, Calgary).
• Volunteers will work alongside experienced casino employees and advisors so no experience is necessary!
• A free meal, soft drinks and snacks are provided.
• If you require a ride, taxi and or Uber can be expensed.
• Make it a date night with your partner and feel free to share the link so friends and family can sign up.
• A Police clearance is NOT required to volunteer for this event.

You are welcome to sign up for shifts on both dates BUT they must be the same position (i.e.: chip runner both days, or cashier both days not mixing banker one day count room the next).

Bridge Club - IT'S FREE! Mondays from 3:50pm – 5:50pm

The Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth (https://cbfy.ca/) is offering a FREE program which will be held at Ranchlands School every Monday from 3:50pm to 5:50pm. The program is open to Grade 1-6 students who are 1st/2nd generation immigrants, low-income, or Indigenous youth. Please see the attached brochure for full details. See flyer under Resources.

More Than a Ticket - Opportunity for Students and Families to Attend Events

Kids Up Front offers Calgary students and their families various opportunities to attend sports games, concerts and other events through the More Than A Ticket program. This program supports students and families, who may not have access to ticketed events, enjoy exciting concerts, performances and sports games throughout the year. Hindu Heritage Month
