No School For All Students on Friday, September 22

This is a Professional Development Day, and there is no school for all students.

Orange Shirt Day - Thursday, September 28

Please join us in wearing orange on Thursday, September 28. Students will spend time learning about the history of the residential school system and will honour Indigenous people in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, September 29.

No School For All Students on Friday, September 29

There is no school for all students on Friday, September 29, due to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation statutory holiday on September 30th. We encourage student and families to explore and participate in events in our city. One option is at Fort Calgary, https://www.calgary.ca/events/orange-shirt-day.html

There is no school for all students on Monday, October 9 due to the Thanksgiving Day statutory holiday.

Reminders

2022-2023 Student Health Plan Forms

Please ensure you complete this form if medication is to be taken at school or if a physical or medical condition may affect the student's attendance at school.

• We are unable to provide any medication to students if we do not have this form on file. This includes any inhalers required for asthma or EPI-pens required for anaphylactic shock from a serious allergy (e.g. nut allergy, seafood allergy).
• This form must be completed EACH school year.
• ALL medications are to be stored in the main office, NOT in your child's backpack (including inhalers).
• Please let us know if you would like us to send home a paper copy with your child. Otherwise, the form may be downloaded here: Student Health Plan Form

City of Calgary After School Program - Still Room Available!

The city is once again offering a free after school program on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Ranchlands School. This program is meant for grade 4 to 6 students. There is still space available, so if you are interested in joining, please have your child ask at the office for a registration form. Please complete the form and return it as soon as possible. The program runs until May 18, 2024.
